The field kitchen of the MK-30 model is used for cooking, transporting and heating hot food (two dishes) in field conditions for 30 people of a standard military unit. Small-sized, portable type. Suitable for outdoor use during parking, on ships, in train carriages during transportation and transfer of warheads.

MAIN PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE KITCHEN MK-30
The kitchen is completed with cooking accessories:

1 cauldron cauldron for the first courses (usable capacity is 22 liters, full is 26 liters);
1 kettle for main courses, equipped with an oil jacket (useful capacity 13 liters, full 16 liters);
2 nozzles of the KGF-4M model (operated, spare);
1 fuel tank with a volume of 8 liters.
Boilers material - stainless steel. Water in boilers boils in 25-30 minutes when cooking with liquid fuel (kerosene, diesel) and in 35-40 minutes - with solid fuel (wood with a moisture content of about 21-33%). Liquid fuel is consumed in a volume of 0.6 ... 2 kg / h, solid - in a volume of 9 kg / h.

Additionally, the kitchen is equipped with a baking tray 37.6 x 22.8 x 8 cm.

The general list of components, in addition to cooking boilers and a fuel nozzle system, includes a hearth with a removable pipe, a box for storing food, a spare parts kit (canister, saucepan, kitchen and vegetable knives, scoops, a two-pronged fork for meat, an opener, a poker, a washstand, kerosene lantern, ax, ladles, etc.), a set of operating documents.

It was first accepted for supply in 1972, at the same time it was put into production in the USSR. It is colored in a dark green protective color. The design of the digestion device is consistently recognized as one of the most optimal in comparison with equipment for a similar purpose.
